Ashley Darby boasted she was “paid” just six hours before announcing she and husband Michael Darby had split.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star, 33, posted a video Tuesday morning of herself smiling for the camera with her hair blowing in the wind. The song “Sad Girlz Luv Money” by Amaarae & Moliy was playing in the background.
“I’ll get paid, yeah, just give me,” the lyrics read. “I really like to party, I really like your body / I really want to get naughty, I think you’re such a hottie / Slow dancing at the party, oh yeah.”
Ashley posted another video two hours later, this time set to “Go!” by Common.
The reality star grinned, raised an eyebrow and rolled her eyes as Common knocked, “Go go go go go and count to three go!”

Ashley will most likely receive a significant monetary sum from her estranged husband, who has an estimated net worth of $20 million. The couple had a prenuptial agreement that expired after five years of marriage.
“Now I get 50 percent of our wealth in the event of a divorce,” she said in a season 5 confessional.
The Bravolebrity proposed a post-nuptial agreement after the prenup expired, but nothing had been signed as of October 2020.

Ashley announced Tuesday night that she and Michael, 62, had decided to separate after “nearly eight magical years” of marriage.
“People will quickly assume that the causes were reality TV’s over-intrusion into the most personal parts of our lives, age differences, cultural issues, or differences in child-rearing,” she said in a statement to Bravo’s The Daily Dish.

“Parts of all of this may have influenced our pure love for one another, but no single reason is the root cause of our joint decision to go our separate ways,” she continued, adding that the two are at “very different stages of life” and have very different goals.
As RHOP viewers know, the Darbys’ marriage has been a constant source of speculation since Ashley began her reality TV journey in Season 1 in 2016.

Michael has faced countless allegations, including when a cameraman claimed he groped him while filming Season 4. Michael was charged with assault and misdemeanor assault, but the case was later dismissed.
The real estate mogul was in hot water once again in Season 5 when he was photographed in just his boxers in a hotel room while Ashley was away on a cast tour. Michael told his wife that he went to a strip club and a casino, got drunk, fell asleep and woke up in a bed next to a random woman.
The Darbys married in May 2014 and share sons Dean (2) and Dylan (1). Michael also has two children from a previous marriage.
