Killed by a shot from his rifle, his dog would have pulled the trigger. The victim of this incident, which took place in Turkey, was Ozgur Gevrekoglu, a 32-year-old hunter.
It all happened on the Kizlan plateau in the Turkish province of Samsun, where the man went on a hunting trip over the weekend. According to initial reconstructions by local police, who are still investigating, the hunter left his dog in the trunk of his car and the animal accidentally pulled the trigger of the still-loaded rifle.
The gun at that moment was pointed directly at the man, who was shot in the stomach at point-blank range and died almost instantly. Rescue and transport to Alacam State Hospital were useless. When the doctors arrived at the health facility, they could not help but pronounce his death.
A tragic accident, a story that seems unbelievable and there are also people who, according to some local media, do not rule out that the dog’s story is just a cover for a murder. It also has to be said that, strange as it may be, a similar situation would have happened before in the past: in 2018, in New Mexico, Sonny Gilligan had been shot again in the back with a rifle by his dog during a hunt of the hunt . But in this case the man managed to survive.
