Blac Chyna wants to make it absolutely clear when she wrapped an iPhone cord around her fiancee Rob Kardashian’s neck.
They were “just being silly” when they celebrated the launch of Rob & Chyna’s second season, she told a jury in Los Angeles on Wednesday, recounting the 2017 Snapchat incident.
And as for that other togetherness moment, on FaceTime, when she pointed Kardashian’s gun at him and said, “If he ever leaves me, will I get him?”
“We were silly,” she told the jury again. “He thought it was funny,” she said of Rob Kardashian.
The exotic dancer-turned-model appeared as the first witness in her lawsuit against the Kardashian family, and even during direct questioning, she spent much of her time playing defense.
Chyna, whose real name is Angela White, is suing the Kardashian-Jenners for $100 million in damages. She claims they wronged her about E! Network exec five years ago after she and Rob Kardashian split. The family’s campaign of lies led to the cancellation of their spin-off series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she claims.
Much of Wednesday was spent debunking this alleged trash talk, including the fact that Chyna physically abused her fiancé.
Rob Kardashian was “so cute,” she told jurors as she faced the jury in black business attire in a downtown LA courtroom.
“He loved Kingy,” she said of his warm connection to her son by rapper Tyga. “They were so fun together,” she said as the relationship progressed.
Family matriarch Kris Jenner was instrumental in brokering the Rob & Chyna deal with E! executives, Chyna said.
Jenner even negotiated a $11,700 per performance fee for King and a $5,850 per performance fee for Dream, Rob Kardashian and Blac China’s child together, whose cesarean birth was, of course, televised.
Chyna said she would confide in Jenner about Rob Kardashian’s depression and jealousy and how “he would take my phone” and ask for old messages from male friends.
A year later, in 2017, after the couple broke up, Jenner was so intent on sinking “Rob & Chyna” that she gave E! Attorney Lynne Ciani had told jurors at Tuesday openings that the network’s executives and producers were pushing to “drop the bitch.”
“Kris Jenner wanted ‘Rob & Chyna’ canceled,” Ciani said. “And she brought her three daughters to help with that.”
The Kardashian family attorney countered that Chyna has remained desperate for money and the family spotlight since splitting from Rob Kardashian.
“The evidence will show you that Miss White would say or do anything to be part of this family,” attorney Michael G. Rhodes said in the opening statement.
But the real reason E! Network is that the couple split up, he told the jury.
“There’s no ‘Rob & Chyna’ show if there’s no Rob and Chyna,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chyna’s mom, who calls herself “Tokyo Toni,” has started her own courtroom reality show on Instagram.
Toni has so far been banned from the courtroom for “threatening” Kris Jenner and being investigated by the FBI on Monday after he said, “I’m going to get that judge,” on a livestream Tuesday, according to PageSix.
Toni defended the comment as “comedy”.
