Thursday kicked off the final month of another packed year for Netflix, filled with streaming hits ranging from the Addams Family spinoff series Wednesday to dark titles like Dahmer, the return of Netflix shows like Stranger Things and The Crown – plus so much more.
There’s still plenty to look forward to in December on the streaming giant, including Knives Out sequel Glass Onion (which I saw an early screening of and shared some thoughts on here) and Emily in Paris season 3. In the meantime, here’s a look at what’s new to stream starting Thursday, December – including Netflix Original plan and third-party content.

One particular title from Thursday’s new Netflix releases worth highlighting is the true-crime documentary The Masked Scammer.
From Passion Pictures and the creators of Lords of Scam, this documentary goes through the breathtakingly brazen scams of one of the most successful scammers of all time: Gilbert Chikli, a Frenchman who managed to steal around 100 million euros between 2005 and 2017.
“The Masked Scammer follows the life of Gilbert Chikli, one of France’s most notorious scammers, who managed to extort millions from the French elite using his only asset – his voice,” explains the official Netflix synopsis. “He deceived his victims by posing as Jean-Yves le Drian, then French Defense Minister, and persuaded them to voluntarily transfer him more than 80 million euros.”
