Russia continues air strikes, Norway delivers 100…

According to British intelligence experts, Russia is trying to stop the supply of weapons and the deployment of troops to the east of the country by attacking cities across Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow continues to concentrate troops on Ukraine’s eastern border.

The Russian air force said it bombed 73 military targets in Ukraine overnight. “As a result of the impact of high-precision missiles in the Novovorontsovka and Kiselivka regions, up to 40 Ukrainian troops and seven armored vehicles were killed,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday. This information could not be independently confirmed.

According to Konashenkov, the attacks were primarily aimed at tactical targets. In addition to air force strikes, Russian artillery and missile forces bombed 1,053 military targets, he said in his daily morning briefing.

The military spokesman did not provide any information about the Russian ground offensive. He also left it open whether Ukrainian cities were taken. Since February 24, Russia has been waging a war of aggression against Ukraine. First, Russian troops attacked the neighboring country from three sides. Meanwhile, troops were withdrawn from the Kiev region to concentrate efforts in eastern Ukraine.

Intensification of fighting in Donbass

According to British intelligence experts, Russia is trying to stop the supply of weapons and the deployment of troops to the east of the country by attacking cities across Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow continues to muster troops on Ukraine’s eastern border, the Defense Ministry said in a statement in London on Wednesday.

In Donbass, British experts are observing an intensification of fighting due to Russian attempts to break through Ukrainian defences. According to British experts, Russian Air Force activities in the Kiev region remain low. However, accurate individual air strikes on key targets can be expected across the country.

Norway delivers more weapons

Norway is supplying Ukraine with more defense weapons, including nearly 100 “Mistral” anti-aircraft missiles from the Norwegian armed forces’ stockpiles. It is an air defense system that the Norwegian military wants to replace, so the delivery of weapons to Ukraine will not have a major impact on its own operational capabilities, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday. The weapons, therefore, have already been withdrawn from the country.

In recent weeks, the Scandinavian NATO country had already decided to send Ukraine 4,000 anti-tank missiles and protective equipment, among other things.
