Sporstnet network reporter Peter Galindo reported on Saturday that Waterman’s profile will be all the rage in Germany, Turkey, Austria and Greece
The 26-year-old British-Colombian has spent the last three seasons at CF Montreal but he upped his game again in 2022. Waterman has played in 30 Major League Soccer (MLS) games, all from the start, and has scored three goals and two assists.
Sporting director Olivier Renard had a stroke of genius when he recruited Cavalry FC’s backcourt in the Canadian Premier League. His progress even earned him an invitation to the World Cup in Qatar, but he was one of seven players not used by Canada coach John Herdman.
European clubs have signed CF Montreal players since the historic 2022 season: midfielder Djordje Mihailovic was recruited from AZ in the Netherlands, while defender Alistair Johnston joined Glasgow Celtic. Rumors are also sending young Ismaël Koné overseas.
