In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Gigi D’Alessio recalled some anecdotes related to Pino Daniele and Lucio Dalla.
Interviewed exclusively by Il Corriere della Sera, Gigi D’Alessio he replied so further Pine Daniel: “Turbulent relationship, we talked about everything. We were born twenty meters away in the Santa Chiara district, our parents played cards together. We even had the same record company, but we weren’t friends, on the contrary. Until one day in 2008 Pino called me: “First ca’ ci amma appiccicare (that we argue) do you want to get to know each other?” And then he invited me to his concert But since then we haven’t lost each other anymore, he has I’ve often spent Christmas at my house, between laughter and glasses of wine”.
Then his past as Mario Merola’s pianist: “A unique character, with great charisma, we were like father and son. A piece of bread, the best man in the world, even if in the film he played the villain, the Guappo, the prisoner, the Mammasantissima. Shooting with him in Naples was like walking around New York with Sinatra”.
Finally by Gigi D’Alessio with the memory of a great singer-songwriter: “There was one of his concerts and one at the same time Lucio Della, not far away. A mile-long line formed outside the theater with a foot of snow. Eventually Lucio came too. “Anyway, no one came to me.” Great Lucio, generous. He spoke well of me. “He can read sheet music like nobody else,”
