Angelina Jolie continued to beat Brad Pitt amid her ongoing divorce battle, with her focus remaining on owning her Chateau Miraval Winery.
The 58-year-old father of six accused 47-year-old Jolie of selling her stake in the winery with the intention of intentionally “causing harm” by entering into the sale with a complete “stranger,” in breach of their agreement.
According to RadarOnline.com, which obtained court documents, Angelina called Brad’s claims “frivolous, malicious and part of a problematic pattern” as her legal team provided an update on the litigation this week.
The latest: An email Angelina Jolie, 47, sent to ex-husband Brad Pitt, 58, amid their ongoing divorce battle — centered on owning their Chateau Miraval winery — has resurfaced publicly
Pitt claimed they both agreed not to sell their interest in the property without mutual approval since they both own it.
The documents added: “Pitt’s allegations that he and Ms. Jolie had a secret, unwritten, unspoken agreement granting a right of consent to the sale of their interest in the property are in direct contradiction to the written records and violate, among other legal defects, the statute of fraud and public order.”
This comes after an email recently resurfaced in which Jolie explained the reasons behind her decision to sell her stake in the property.
A TikTok user with the handle @magshrts1 posted the content of the email the Oscar winner wrote in January 2021, Entertainment Tonight has confirmed in a court document.

The Those Who Wish Me Dead actress said she wrote the email “not to get emotional” to explain her reasons for her decision to sell her stake in the winery.
“It’s where we brought the twins home and where we got married over a plaque in memory of my mother,” Jolie said. “A place that held the promise of what could be and where I thought I would grow old. Even now, it’s impossible to write this without crying. I will cherish my memories of what it was a decade ago.’
The Los Angeles native said the winery “is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our family — and a liquor-centric business.”
Jolie said she was hoping the winery could “become sort of something that binds us together,” but now sees what Pitt “really wanted.” [her] and will most likely be happy to receive this email.’

The Eternals star said over the past four years she’s witnessed “a lot of inconsiderate behavior” and felt left out of the winery’s business end because “money was being spent on it.” [she] would not have agreed and made decisions [she] was not consulted.’
Jolie said she was “hurt by decisions made that show no interest in sharing the business or fundamentally transforming it into something that would be healthier for our children.”
Jolie has criticized the advertising for the winery, saying she was “staggered by the recent pictures that have been released to sell the alcohol.
“I find it irresponsible and I don’t want the kids to see it,” she said. “It reminded me of painful times.”

Jolie said she could no longer be “publicly or privately involved in an alcohol-based business when alcoholic behavior is so severely damaging to our family.” and that the business therefore transcends everything [she] could be part of our family, morally and for the good.’
Jolie said she sees “two paths forward,” the first being an “outright sale,” which she would support to “get away from this tough and painful chapter in our lives.”
She continued: “The alternative is for you, the Perrin family or your associates to buy out my interest in the property and business outright. Anyway, I believe we need to move forward to heal and focus on where our family comes together and where we have positive associations. And fast.”
Jolie cited a 2016 incident on a private jet in which she previously said in court documents that Pitt “pounced on his own child.” ‘choked one of the children and slapped another in the face;’ and ‘poured beer’ on her.’

Jolie said, “I can’t express how upsetting it is to have to reach this point. Your dream of your relationship with business and alcohol is your own, and you’ve made it painfully clear.
“I wish you all the best in business and I sincerely hope that the children will think differently about Miraval when they are older and visit you there. But Miraval died for me in September 2016, and unfortunately everything I’ve seen over the years bears this out.”
Jolie was sued by Pitt in February after she sold her stake in the winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler and his Stoli Group subsidiary, Tenute del Mondo. Pitt told the court that while Jolie pledged 40 percent of the $28.4 million they invested in the winery, she did not do any work on the project.
He said the sale also went against a “mutual understanding” in their 2019 divorce pact, as they agreed not to sell their stake in the venue without the other’s consent.
In September, Jolie’s former company sued Nouvel Pitt for $250 million, saying he had “developed a plan that has been successful so far” to control the winery.
Jolie and Pitt are parents to six children: Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14.
