The comedian loves her good friend Tommy’s cake.
Tom cruise sends Rosie O’Donnell the same cake for Christmas every year, and she’s so proud to show it off on Instagram!
This year’s gift arrived yesterday, with a note addressed to the comedian reading: “Best wishes to you this holiday season.”
“My Tommy sent me a coconut cake!! Love this guy ❤️🌹💋 #tomcruise,” she wrote alongside a picture of the open box containing a coconut-covered Bundt cake. It was accompanied by a glittery hopping reindeer ornament.
She shared a similar picture around Christmas 2020, except the box was still sealed, wrapped in a large, beautiful gold and white bow with a similar reindeer ornament and the exact same note.
“Christmas comes when Tommy’s gift #holidayseason shows up,” she wrote that year.
The two have been friends for 25 years, which O’Donnell once opened up about on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show. “He’s the only person who never misses my birthday. Knowing him for 25 years, he has never missed my birthday or any event in my life,” she said, adding later, “A lot of people tell me it’s just his secretary, but I don’t think so. I think by early March he’ll know, ‘Oh, Rosie’s birthday is coming up’ and he’ll send me something. Every year for 25 years.”
But it turns out she’s not the only one; Cruise sends the same cake with the same note to several of his celebrity peers each year, including Kirsten Dunst, Jimmy Fallon, Cobie Smulders, Graham Norton, Henry Cavilland Barbara Walters.
According to Yahoo, the cake, a white chocolate coconut bundt cake sourced from family-run Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California, has been his favorite gift for over a decade.

The publication spoke to one of the bakery’s owners, who shared that they’re wrapping hundreds of cakes for Cruise over the holidays and more throughout the year. However, the plain white box is as far as they go; it’s the team at Cruise that packs it up so nicely and ships it around the globe.
And while most of his celebs make sure to stay on his good side, we wonder how we’re even supposed to do that!
