Saturday Night Live Weekend Update host Michael Che joked that President Joe Biden goes to work every day “with full CTE” on this week’s show.
Che introduced a headline about Biden’s signing of a measure that would avert a recent rail strike without guaranteeing workers’ demands for sick leave.
The comic cracked, “How is he supposed to handle sick leave when he comes to work every day with full CTE?”
CTE is short for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease caused and aggravated by repeated blows to the head.
Biden said the bill “helps our nation avoid what would undoubtedly have been an economic disaster at a very bad time on the calendar.”
His move is forcing unions to accept a deal four of them rejected because it did not include paid sick leave.

Biden acknowledged workers had a right to it and said he will keep fighting for it.
Che and co-host Colin Jost also attacked Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker.
Jost pointed to the numerous reports that Walker had paid women to have abortions in pursuit of the former Heisman Trophy winner.
He said: “The Georgia Senate runoff set records for early voting. Herschel Walker has always encouraged his supporters to take care of the vote early before it becomes a problem.’
Allegations of domestic violence and hypocrisy over abortions have tarnished Walker’s campaign.
In August, the Republican Accountability Project ran an ad highlighting an interview Walker’s ex-wife gave to ABC News in 2005.
Walker’s campaign then confirmed that the Senate candidate – who has previously criticized absentee fathers in black communities – has a 10-year-old son he fathered out of wedlock, who had to be taken to court so the mother could obtain child support.
The Daily Beast then said Walker confirmed he had a second secret son aged 13 with another woman and also a grown daughter – meaning the Republican has four children instead of just a 22-year-old Christian.
Jost also joked about Kanye West’s summit meeting with Alex Jones earlier in the week, saying: “At this point I don’t think Kanye is off his meds to the point of being immune to it. We’re basically dealing with the Omicron variant of Kanye. We thought he was going to go away, but now we realize we may have to deal with Kanye’s brain fog.
The comic also wondered, “If Jews control the media, how do we still see a new interview with Kanye every day?”

West’s Twitter account was suspended Thursday night after he put a Nazi swastika inside a Star of David, a religious symbol representing Judaism, indicating it would be the logo for his planned 2024 presidential campaign.
While this week’s comments were his most blatant, West has been spewing anti-Semitic bile for months.
