MasterChef star Poh Ling Yeow reveals what she ACTUALLY cooks at home – and it’s not what you might think
Poh Ling Yeow has revealed she once shocked a fan when she admitted she cooks “very simple” meals at home, as opposed to the elaborate dishes she prepares on TV.
The MasterChef Australia star, 49, told Samantha Armytage on her podcast that many professional chefs only prepare fancy dishes when they have an audience.
“Someone asked me if I cook elaborate dishes at home and I said, ‘Damn no’. I only cook it when I want to show off,” she admitted.

The Malaysian-born reality star explained that since cooking is what she does for a living, she likes to eat “clean” when she’s free.
Poh went on to say that she wishes simple food was more accepted at social events, as the focus should be on “reconnecting” rather than the food.
