Emergency power cuts in Kyiv and across the region were announced today by electricity company Dtek, which says it cannot keep up with power cuts already planned and that technicians are “doing everything possible to stabilize the situation,” Ukrinform reports. Today the weather in the Ukrainian capital indicates temperatures of minus five degrees and frost. Dtek director Dmytro Sakharuk said it will be possible to return to stabilizing power outages after increasing the system’s capacities.
The Russian military has launched dozens of attacks in Donbass over the past 24 years: This was announced by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the morning bulletin, as reported by UNIAN. “More than 30 missile system attacks, 16 airstrikes were launched on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements along the line of contact.
Civilian infrastructures were damaged in Kharkiv, Kramatorsk and Donetsk regions,” the Kyiv Armed Forces report, adding that they “repelled attacks by Federation military units in 17 locations.”
