The Car Guide discovers the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato

Lamborghini has chosen Miami Beach and Art Basel to proceed with the official unveiling of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, the new off-road variant of the range.

Powered by the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter, 602-horsepower V10 engine, the Sterrato features increased ground clearance, skid plates, a roof air intake, rally-style headlights mounted on the front cover, and it rolls on Bridgestone Dueler tires !

An athlete for Mad Max…

The Huracán is striking, but the Sterrato is even more so. The name “Sterrato” means “dirt road” in Italian, and that’s why the Huracán underwent a radical transformation to become an exotic car, capable of driving on surfaces other than asphalt.

The idea of designing an off-road version of the Huracán came about as engineers continued to develop the brand’s Urus SUV. During off-road testing, they wondered if it would be possible to build a sports car that could drive in similar conditions. Now this survey has become a car of its own. Basically, the Sterrato is a Huracán EVO that has undergone several modifications.

The Car Guide was present at the launch of the Sterrato and was able to speak to Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Lamborghini. Here is a video (in English) in which he explains the specific design elements of the new Huracán Sterrato, which will be produced in just 1,499 examples, 800 of which have already been reserved by customers. Good to see!
