Akın Akınözü, the stylish Turkish heartthrob who rose to international fame with his starring role in Hercai: Love and Revenge, returns to the Telemundo network screens with Amor y Verrat. The actor has surprised by speaking about both Ottoman soap operas and their differences.
Amor y traición, whose original name is Kaderimin Oyunu, is the Hispanic network’s new bet and will compete with TelevisaUnivision’s prime-time premieres.
The Turkish production starring Akin Akinözü and Öykü Karayel premiered on December 3, 2021 on StarTv and became a phenomenon not only on TV but also on YouTube with more than 4 million viewers in the first week. Numbers are also expected to be good at Telemundo, where it premiered on November 28th.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “HERCAI” AND “LOVE AND AMOUNT” FOR AKIN AKINÖZÜ?
Turkish heartthrob Akin Akınözü was asked in an interview about the difference between this Turkish series “Love and Betrayal” and the successful series “Hercai: Love and Revenge”, he answered that the first difference lies in the title of both productions.
“One is love and betrayal, the other is love and revenge, and that’s how I see it,” the actor said in an interview with People en Español.
With that in mind, he pointed out that “Hercai” is about finding love through revenge; understand the value of love through revenge. The other series “is about understanding the true value of love through betrayal.”
“Initially in both stories, their motives lead them to make mistakes, but that mistake leads you to the real answer, which is love. That’s how I see it,” he explained.
The actor hinted at that in technical terms. For him, Hercai: Love and Revenge is more of a fairy tale, while Love and Betrayal has a more realistic approach. “In terms of execution, the execution is more realistic, the other one was more like a fairy tale,” he added.

WHAT IS “LOVE AND AMOUNT” ABOUT?
According to the publication on the website of Telemundo, the soap opera tells the gripping story of Asiye (Karayel), whose world is rocked when her daughter is molested by a neighbor, forcing her to try to rebuild her shattered life. When a stranger, Mahir (Apak), takes her to the home of his powerful family, Asiye is shocked to find her ex-husband Cemal (Akınözü), who had left the family years before.
From here, Asiye now faces the most difficult dilemmas as she must choose between returning to Cemal or starting a new life with Mahir. In a mansion steeped in romance, betrayal and jealousy, Asiye must face a cruel fate and fight for her family’s happiness in this suspenseful drama.
