(ANSA) – NEW YORK, DECEMBER 04 – From a few hundred for the debut concert in New York at the Bowery Ballroom in October 2021 to about 2500 people at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the Manhattan Center for the return just over a year later. Måneskin made another stop in the Big Apple and made a two-pack appearance as part of the Loud Kids Tour USA, which kicked off October 31st in Seattle, Washington and will end in Las Vegas next December 16th furore . A tour that has also become ‘louder’ (which makes even more noise, editor’s note) because, given the enormous demand, it was necessary to choose larger concert halls and add more dates.
Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drums) have come a long way since making their American television debut as guests on the Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon on October 26, 2021. Since then, the four Italians have conquered America and the world. They are the band that brings all ages together, as evidenced by the long line of people that occupied several blocks before being able to enter Manhattan Center. Alternating old and new hits, Måneskin kept the audience in ecstasy, even stepping off the stage and pacing among the fans. And an Italian flag, raised during the show, was also waved on stage.
The Italian flag was the starting point for a curtain call for Damiano to introduce the single “MAMMAMIA”. “We meet a lot of people – he said – and when they introduce us to the conversation he usually says like this: ‘Hello, nice to meet you, where are you from?’, ‘I’m Italian’, ‘Oh, Italian’ ? Maaaa’. So we had a song, ’cause shit can make flowers, come on, come on”. Before the night ended, dozens of fans were ushered onto the stage and danced and sang with the band.
Then it was time for The Loneliest, their latest single, released in October, which precedes the release of their third album, RUSH!, on January 20, 2023. (HAND).
