Like father, son begins to take on a whole new meaning in the world of golf as the Woods family prepares for an upcoming father-son tournament.
Tiger Woods spoke to Golf Channel from the Bahamas – where his foundation hosts the Hero World Challenge tournament.
At one point during the interview, Woods was asked when he thinks his son would start overtaking him, and his answer surprised many viewers.
“It’s already happened. He hit Medalist with a drive and passed me by a meter,” said the 15-time Major champion.

Not only does Charlie punch his father, he seems to take advice from him on how to approach his punch.
“I told him don’t copy my swing. Copy Rory’s,’ Woods said. “Have you ever seen Rory lose his balance when he was shot? no Never. You can swing as hard as you want on a shot, but you have to have the balance.’
It seems to be paying off for Charlie, who was swinging a club at 117 mph, according to Golf Channel’s Paul Azinger.
Video has recently surfaced of an older Charlie Woods swinging his driver and showing off his form

While Tiger is at the Hero World Challenge, he does not compete in the tournament. Though he planned to join the 20-man field, Woods announced Monday that he had developed plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
“After consulting with my doctors and coaches, I have decided to retire this week and focus on my hosting duties,” Woods said in a statement.
Woods has not competed in a professional tournament since July, when he missed the cut at The Open Championship in St Andrews.
Tiger believes he will be healthy to take part in the latest edition of The Match, which takes place next weekend, as well as the PNC Championship with Charlie the week after.
