A California high school teacher who told his thousands of followers on TikTok about his “queer classroom library” has been slammed by parents for the sexually explicit content in many of the books.
The teacher, who calls himself Flint and uses she/them pronouns, recently posted a video of them opening a box of new Pride flags while discussing their queer-centric library, which they say helps students has to ‘find out who they are .’
“People are getting really mad at my queer library. I have about 200 titles specific to the LGBT community that I’ve been curating for over eight years,” the teacher says in the 90-second video.
“Don’t get me wrong, my students love this library. Finding out who they are and how to interact with their peers has been very helpful for many students,” they continued.
“Porn shouldn’t be allowed in classrooms,” said David Averell, a parent in the district, who spoke to Fox News Digital. “What was in the classroom made me pretty sick.”

The teacher said in a video that in about eight years they have amassed a collection of more than 200 queer novels and books
This video, along with hundreds of others posted to Flint’s page, has sparked outrage from parents and family members of students in the district.
The library is set up in the English and film teacher’s classroom and the books are free and available to all, despite previous claims by Capistrano Unified School District officials.
District officials have said in the past that the books could only be borrowed by students as part of a specific extracurricular activity.
One of the books in the transgender teacher’s library is called Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Being Trans and contains references to BDSM, including a mention of FetLife, a networking website for the “kink community.”
“I find the BDSM/Kink community extremely open and welcoming in every way; it is a place of sexual liberation,” the book states.
“There’s often a blanket acceptance of transgender people in the kink/BDSM scenes and on sites like FetLife.”
“Porn shouldn’t be allowed in classrooms,” said a parent of the LGBTQ+ graphic books
A book entitled ‘This book is gay’ is also in the classroom for students as young as 14 to see. The book talks about the gay dating app Grindr, anal sex, girl-on-girl sex, and dildos and strap-ons.
“We all want to have sex with lots of people,” the book says.
It even goes into detail and describes how many men, ‘gay or straight’, enjoy the feel of the prostate ‘when they’re being massaged’.
“Let’s talk about dildos: I think a lot of people assume that where there’s no penis, there’s a desperate sexual void with something to emerge from [bleep] Ultimately, form must fit in order to satisfy,” the book says.
“I’ve only slept with two women who enjoyed using dildos. I hate wearing a strap-on. I only did it once and NEVER AGAIN!’
The book also covered sex parties, orgies, and “bathhouses” or saunas.
“Saunas or “bathhouses” are scattered across the country and are perfectly legal. People (many saunas host lesbian nights out) pay some money to enter and then have a bit of sauna and random sex. That’s fine too, as long as you’re safe.’
Another book in her library is about “sticking,” a process used to hide one’s penis. It also addresses “whore phobia” classified as a stigma against prostitution.
Flint has said they “strongly believe” in giving students access to LGBTQ+ books, although they have dismissed the sexually explicit content in some of them
In one video, the teacher addressed parents’ concerns that they “recruit kids to go trans” by joking the only time they “gone rogue” is to discuss plot holes in movies
The district said in a statement sent to parents and families that they are looking at the books in Flint’s classroom and examining their “appropriateness.”
“We are aware of a news article questioning the appropriateness of books that were located in a student club library,” the district said in the note, obtained by Fox News Digital.
“The books referenced were available through a high school after-school club and are not educational materials.
“However, we have initiated a review of these books, which are currently unavailable to undergraduate students,” the letter reads.
The district also said it “does not endorse the personal testimonies of those speaking in their capacity as private individuals.”
Capistrano Unified School District officials said they are reviewing the “appropriateness” of the books after receiving backlash from families
This isn’t the first time the teacher has faced backlash over his library.
In September, Flint addressed his 150,000 TikTok followers in a video titled “Where Have I Been Lately?”
“A national far-right publication ran an article ‘exposing’ queer books in my classroom library, they wrote, describing why they hadn’t posted in nearly three weeks.
The teacher then shared screenshots of messages from people who found their email and sent targeted messages.
“It’s sad that you think your job is to indoctrinate young students,” one person wrote in the email. ‘I will pray for you.’
“You’re a hairdresser and now you work at McDonalds,” said another. “Stop molesting our kids you sick piece of shit.”
Flint used the video to draw attention to book bans in the United States.
On another occasion, the teacher addressed the “waves of criticism they’ve received for the explicit books in their classroom.
“So as a trans teacher with a fairly public platform, there will often be waves of criticism that I know better than to internalize,” they said.
“Every once in a while there’s going to be that little voice that says something like, ‘What if they’re right? What if all my efforts on this earth are all in vain. “In moments like this, it helps to take a step back and move far away from it,” Flint said.
The film teacher has also stated that they “believe a lot” in what they do.
