How can Harvey Weinstein’s testicles convict him? 12/03/2022 Illustrated

Harvey Weinstein, a former producer and Hollywood tycoon, has had his genitals addressed frequently during the trial he is facing. According to Variety magazine, several accusers have testified to his abnormal testicles, in what could be the final piece for the jury to determine if he is guilty of the sexual harassment allegations.

During the trial, prosecutors revealed that Weinstein underwent surgery for Fournier syndrome in 1999, which resulted in doctors removing part of his scrotum, leaving visible scars.

In October, as the trial began, pictures of the former producer’s privates were shown to the jury. The media and the public had no access to them.

A European model and actress who declined to be identified was one of the witnesses who spoke about Weinstein’s testicles. She accused him of rape and assault, an episode that would have happened in a 2013 hotel in Beverly Hills, United States. However, the tycoon’s defense said she had never been in the hotel room and therefore could not describe the genitals.

But during her testimony, the model said she always accurately described the perpetrator’s genitals. “I remember he didn’t have one,” she said. “It was like an empty skin.”

Prosecutors therefore argued that there was no way for the actress and model to provide such a description without having been sexually assaulted by Weinstein.

“Jane Doe [como é chamada no processo a modelo que não identificada] can describe Mr. Weinstein’s anatomy,” the prosecutor said. “She can because he attacked her. There is no other explanation for that.”

In all, Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 100 women, including famous actresses like Rose McGowan. The allegations came in the wake of the MeToo movement, which brought the likes of Kevin Spacey and Johnny Depp to court.
