Marvel blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever landed at the top of the domestic box office for the fourth straight week, grossing $17.6 million overall at the box office on a poor weekend to start the final month of the year during the holiday horror comedy Violent Night grossed an impressive $13.3 million.
Wakanda Forever remained at the top, grossing $733 million at the worldwide box office and $339 million in overseas sales.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira.

Entertainment analytics firm RelishMix reported that Violent Night was fueled by social media buzz.
“David Harbor is the hot trending topic of a lot of conversation on Violent Night, bringing his Stranger Things audience to the comments,” says RelishMix. “Fans complement the film to Nobody, Bullet Train, Bad Santa, of course with Billy Bob Thornton, plus Die Hard – and newer horror films, Smile and Halloween Ends.

The Netflix film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was pulled from theaters this weekend after a strong week-long run in theaters ahead of the streaming service’s release. Last week, it grossed $15 million at the box office in about 600 theaters, according to the AP.
Films that rounded out the top 10 films at the domestic box office included Strange World at $4.9 million; The Menu at $3.6 million; $2.8 million dedication; I Heard the Bells at $1.8 million; Black Adam with $1.7 million; The Fabelmans with $1.3 million; Bones and All with $1.2 million; and Ticket to Paradise with $850,000.
