Talladega Superspeedway plays host to an action-packed weekend of NASCAR racing.
The high banks of the 2.66-mile oval in Alabama bring the second next-gen-era Superspeedway race for the Cup Series this weekend, in addition to the Xfinity and ARCA events.
The Xfinity Series heads into Talladega for its ninth competition of the year after its first week in 2022. Jeb Burton was the winner of last spring’s rain-shortened race at Talladega, but Brandon Brown is the youngest Xfinity winner at the track. At the last Xfinity race, Brandon Jones drove to victory at Martinsville Speedway while teammate Ty Gibbs and JR Motorsports Sam Mayer got into a physical altercation in the pit lane.
The cup series will win the green flag for the 10th time this year. Brad Keselowski is the defending race winner while Bubba Wallace clinched his first career win last fall. On Easter Sunday, Kyle Busch was on the winning lane at the grimy Bristol Motor Speedway, taking advantage of last lap contact between Chase Briscoe and race director Tyler Reddick.
