Kate Middletons Earthshot Awards dress was basically a wearable Green

Kate Middleton’s Earthshot Awards dress was basically a wearable Green Screen and Twitter *Noted* – Cosmopolitan

So, ICYMI, the Earthshot Prize Awards (better known as The Reason Prince William and Kate Middleton Visited the US) took place in Boston on Friday night and, since the whole purpose of the Earthshot Prize is to recognize contributions to environmental protection, the theme of the Event was green.

There was a green carpet. Guests were asked to be eco-friendly in their fashion choices and *not* buy new dresses and suits for the occasion. And Kate Middleton took on the theme in a very literal way by wearing the lime green dress (rented from HURR, a UK-based designer clothing platform, according to People) you can imagine. She paired it with an iconic emerald choker from Princess Diana’s collection and the whole look was predictably stunning. Behold/turn green with envy (not even sorry):

But as stunning as Kate looked, many fans were quick to point out just how green screened her off-the-shoulder Solace London dress also looked. It’s pretty much the same shade as a classic green screen.

And because this is the internet, a celebrity can’t just walk down a photographer-filled red carpet in a portable green screen and expect the photoshopped audience *not* to have a bloody great day with the images from the event.

The you definitely are, 100% Photoshopped-ness of the look is so blatant that Roxane Gay actually tweeted (the very valid question): “How did your team let this happen?” (Top theories in response: Either Kate’s team has never been to the internet or they lowkey hate her.)

Annnnyway, the mere existence of this dress is clearly an invitation to internet creativity, so scroll down to enjoy some highlights from Twitter who happily agreed to the invitation:
