According to official sources, North Korea repeatedly fired artillery shells towards the sea on Tuesday. The Pyongyang government has instructed the military to fire more volleys into the open sea, North Korea’s official KCNA news agency reported. South Korea is currently conducting military exercises across the border.
North Korea said it had fired more than 130 projectiles into the sea off its east and west coasts on Monday, some of which landed in a buffer zone near the maritime border between North and South Korea. The Seoul government called it a violation of a 2018 inter-Korean agreement to ease tensions.
