Nusret Gokcethe celebrity chef, the served the golden meat to Brazilian athletes at the Nusret restaurant branch in DohaIn the QatarShe likes to show off. Besides serving gilded filletswhich cost around R$ 9,000, the Turkish businessman known as Salt Bae shows on his social media profile the high sums that his restaurants’ customers are spending.
Such was the case on November 17 when Gokçe posted the Nusret branch account on Abu Dhabi🇧🇷 With the heading “Quality is never expensive” it shows the bill 645,000 dirhams or about 915,000 BRL🇧🇷
What made the dinner bill so expensive?
Four goldplated steaks and lots of bottles of wine. The bill includes two goldleafed Istanbul steaks, two golden Ottoman steaks, two filet mignon and 11 other fillet steaks, as well as 15 baklava desserts (puff pastry with nut or pistachio filling) with gold.

But much of the bill comes from the wines. Gokçe’s client selected some of the most expensive in the world, which together amounted to more than R$700,000 in bottles. Five bottles of Petrus, two bottles of Petrus 2009 Louis XIII and one bottle of Château Margaux all wines from the Bordeaux region of France and among the most famous in the world.
All Nusret units serve gilded meat, which costs around R$9,000 at the London restaurant. The hamburger, which is also golden, costs around R$ 600 in the English capital. Wherever Salt Bae is, he’s guaranteed to serve customers live and make the same appearances as he does on Instagram with the right to serve the meat in the customer’s mouth.
“Salt Bae’s experience of emphatically slicing a steak in front of him with his bare hands is somehow sexual and certainly disturbing,” wrote the food critic for New York magazine Time Out in 2018. Of the meat, he said, “Nusr Et Steaks are as salty as they are expensive.”
