In a recent interview, Jenna revealed that she didn’t take advice from Christina on how to play the character.
“Our show has superpowers and outcasts and evil spirit pilgrims,” Jenna said in an MTV News interview with co-star Emma Myers, who plays her roommate Enid.
“I think when [Christina] was on set, neither of us once said ‘Wednesday’ to each other,” Jenna explained.
“I don’t think she wanted to get in the way of my performance and feel presumptuous,” she added. “These are two very different people, our Wednesdays.”

Christina has undertaken a variety of projects in the three decades since she’s played Wednesday, and Jenna said she didn’t feel polite to bring up the subject.

‘For my own benefit… I didn’t want to rip her off and I didn’t want to be too much like her.’
