The Bunning jingle is a popular tune with many Australians – and according to a Sydney musician, it may have inspired a major worldwide hit.
DJ Milku, real name Miles Elkington, has revealed the striking similarities between the iconic promotional song and the 2014 hit Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
In a now-viral TikTok clip, Milku remixes the two songs to demonstrate the similarity, which caused joy among Australian fans.
“Bang Bang by Jessie J and this Australian jingle sound exactly the same,” he said.
“And I just crushed them and I proved it 100%.”
He continued to play the opening lines of Bang Bang before introducing the jingle.
Darwin-born Milku then sang “Bunnings Warehouse” about the chart-topping hit.
“This is the best content I’ve seen on TikTok this year!” wrote one fan.

It has been used in most Bunnings Warehouse ads since 1995 and is as iconic to the franchise as its popular sausages.
In recent years, it has become popular on TikTok as rappers use it as a beat and guitarists cover the tune.
