The charge of fraudulent administration for illegal activities in the concession of public works. Politicians have been permanently banned from office

Argentina’s Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has been sentenced to six years in prison and permanent suspension of office by a federal court in Buenos Aires. The Argentine court found him guilty of illegal activities in the public works concession between 2003 and 2015.

The vice president was found guilty of the crime of fraudulent administration and acquitted instead of the crime of tortious association, so the court imposed a six-year sentence on the prosecutor’s request for 12 years in prison. The judges also sentenced businessman Lazaro Baez to six years in prison for administrative fraud in the same case.
