War in Ukraine: where Russia tries to break through resistance

Two men in combat fatigues hang Russian flags on the front door of the Kreminna City Hall building, another has his machine gun slung over his shoulder and is talking to the camera. The message sent by the Luhansk People’s Militia via Telegram: The city is “completely” under the control of “People’s Republic” units.

Kreminna was attacked from all sides, says Luhansk region governor Serhiy Gaidai. Ukrainian forces would have to withdraw and move to new positions.
