Maybe it was the episode of “Che tempo che fa” that I liked the most. A «hunchbacked coup» by Fabio Fazio: he stole one of their treasures from Mediaset and celebrated the publication on Rai3 of the Mondadori book «Mai dire noi» by Gialappa’s band: Giorgio Gherarducci, Marco Santin and Carlo Taranto (in the golden exile in Camogli ).
Many ex-boyfriends from “Mai dire gol” took part in the party, from Teo Teocoli to Simona Ventura, from Luciana Littizzetto to Francesco Paolantoni, as well as many filmed contributions. The Gialappis invented a comic genre thanks to a paradoxical distortion: they used radio commentary to distort the story of the games. But that’s not all, they have also used it to describe and comment on trivial events: interviews, artists’ or footballers’ blunders and the curious things that happen on the pitches, in TV studios. Even show numbers designed specifically for their programs received the same treatment. And “Mai dire gol” was the most beautiful variety show on Mediaset.
Why is it finished? Why didn’t Mediaset believe in the three anymore? Was there a Mediaset manager on Sunday night who made the decision to send her away, who did he chew on all evening? Let’s think then of Teocoli (Felice Caccamo, Gianduja Vettorello), Gene Gnocchi (Ermes Rubagotti, Ninetta De Cesari), Pier Piero by Antonio Albanese, The Swiss by Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, Panfilo Maria Ricci by Daniele Luttazzi and then Paola Cortellesi , Neri Marcorè, Fabio De Luigi, The Magician Forest and many others understand that the workshop of “Mai dire gol” was an impressive laboratory of ideas and characters, one of the few on the Italian scene.
Honestly I can’t understand how they could give up Gialappa’s band in Cologno Monzese. Now I will read your book and hope for an answer.
