The farewell and burial took place this Wednesday (7th). The information was confirmed by Zulu’s grandson Adryan Mandari.
According to the boy The former dancer was rushed to a local hospital after discovering she had advanced cancer🇧🇷 Information on Zulu’s health was not previously disclosed by the family as it was a request from the former Ticket. Everyone then decided to respect their will. Cleusa Maria left behind a daughter, three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
In a group of fans of the show on Facebook, a boy spoke about the death of the former dancer. “Without a doubt, a great loss for the Brazilian art world and especially for us who are part of this huge family called Bolinha! It’s been a year of incredible losses. Thank you for working with this name, eternal success and that in the vastness of existence you will find our dear Edson Bolinha waiting for you to return to the show, dear and unforgettable Zulu,” he wrote.
Cleusa Maria was part of the Bolinha dancers group and, unlike the other dancers, was characterized by remaining serious, always without smiling. For many years, audiences have tried to understand why Zulu fails to smile. However, she revealed why in 2018 during Record TV’s Domingo Show.
“I had facial paralysis and since I was a little girl I couldn’t smile. To this day I still can’t. Thanks to Bolinha, I’ve been able to get my living without laughing,” she said at the time. “Bolinha was a father to me, thanks to him I won in life. I was dying of shame, I never felt like doing an interview. And thanks to Bolinha, I was able to appear serious,” she explained. “A lot of people have what I have but are ashamed to admit it. Today I am no longer ashamed to speak,” he added.
