Russia: Fire at rocket research facility 6 dead BILD

Explosive fire in Russia!

Ironically, a fire broke out on Thursday at the Military Rocket Research Institute in Tver. At least seven people died in the fire, according to Tass, the Kremlin propaganda agency. 27 others were injured.

Videos and photos showed how flames erupted from the building and thick clouds of smoke formed over the city. Dozens of fire engines and a helicopter were mobilized. Employees are said to have jumped out of windows to escape death from the fire. The building in the center of the city practically caught fire, the roof collapsed. Media reported that there may still be people under the rubble.

The fire at the military institute northwest of Moscow is particularly sensitive because the research facility is an important part of the army apparatus. The Tver offices developed the Iskander missile, which Russian troops are using in Ukraine. Among other things, the institute develops navigation, control and steering systems for space travel, but also for fighter planes and rockets.
