Singer Wilfred LeBouthillier target of court cases in New Brunswick

Singer Wilfred LeBouthillier and his wife Jézabel Drolet are the subject of a lawsuit filed in the Court of Queen’s Bench in Bathurst, New Brunswick.

According to Acadie nouvelle, the cause of the dispute is the opening of a clinic for aesthetic medicine. dr Renelle Chiasson, at the origin of the lawsuit, criticizes the couple for ending the partnership that bound them and for not paying her his share of the company.

The latter had merged in 2019 and their agreement called for a 50-50 percent share in the company’s revenues and expenses.

dr Chiasson reports that Jézabel Drolet ended their business relationship in September 2020. The couple then emptied the clinic of their devices and siphoned off the entire contents of the company’s bank account.

The duo would later have opened another clinic in the same area.

The plaintiff claims that she never received the money to which she was entitled. She is therefore demanding 50% of the income generated in the clinic since May 2020 in addition to 50% of her future income.

She is also demanding the capital invested in the clinic, an amount of money in damages, and another for legal costs.

The response of the LeBouthillier-Drolet duo

The couple, for their part, deny the allegations made by their former business partner. He claims that he developed the concept of the clinic on his own and that Jézabel Drolet was the owner.

The two celebrities explain that it is Dr. Chiasson, who ended the agreement after refusing to see a client. They call his allegations “defamatory”.

According to this, the couple had claims for damages in 2021 due to loss of earnings and relocation of the clinic as well as because of the “defamatory statements” by Dr. Chiasson asserted.
