The Peru U-20 team started on the wrong foot the series of friendlies they will hold in December to prepare for the clash with the South American team in the 2023 category in Colombia.
On the field of Videna, the team led by Jaime Serna could not beat Uruguay, who beat them 1-0 through a goal by Luciano Rodríguez in the 44th minute. La Bicolor will seek revenge when they face the Uruguayan side again this Saturday, December 10.

In his first game as coach of the Peru U-20 side, coach Jaime Serna will look to make his right-footed debut in the series of friendly matches he has scheduled for this month. Gustavo Roverano’s successor will make his debut against Uruguay, curiously the last rival of his predecessor.
For the occasion, Serna summoned 24 footballers, including the likes of Kluiverth Aguilar, Matías Lazo, Arón Sánchez, Kenji Cabrera and Juan Pablo Goicochea. Catriel Cabellos and Sebastién Pineau were not included on this occasion.

La Bicolor is preparing to take part in the South American U-20 tournament in Colombia, which begins in mid-January. This tournament will attempt to qualify for the category’s World Tournament for the first time in its history.
