Hip hop has been waiting with needles and needles for the arrival of Pusha T’s latest and it’s finally hitting streaming services. Preparing for the release of “It’s Almost Dry” has been quite the rollout as Pusha went on an extensive promotional tour to talk about his new album. The 12 track project features looks by Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, Labrinth, Malice, Kid Cudi and Kanye West.
The latter two artists appear together on one track, and their collaboration follows their controversial fallout after West insulted Cudi online. Cudi recently came out to say he approved the feature for Pusha but has told fans his friendship with West is no more and there will be no other collaboration going forward.
Meanwhile, Pusha T spoke to Rolling Stone about It’s Almost Dry, saying: “I always create a masterpiece and when creating a painting like that, you end up telling people while they’re waiting for it, ‘It’s almost dry,’ because they always ask: ‘When will it be ready?’ And you have to wait for masterpieces. Also in the drug culture there are often people waiting for the product and it is not yet dry. You can get it when it’s dry.”
