The Banshees by Inisherina dark comedy about a friendship broken in the context of Ireland’s civil war, leads the 2023 Golden Globe nominations announced on Monday.

The film, translated into Spanish as “The Ghosts of the Island”, is nominated in 8 categories including Best Picture, Director (Martin McDonagh) and Screenplay.

He follows closely with 6 nominations. Everything everywhere at the same time” (All everywhere at once)a groundbreaking sci-fi fable set in the multiverse.

“The Fable Men” (The Fabelmans)Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical account of his childhood; Babylona fresh look at Hollywood’s silent era, and elvisa biopic of the rock legend, each received 5 nominations.

Winners will be announced at the 80th Gala on January 10th edition of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Awards, which will be held in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

The Golden Globes are usually the most prestigious awards, right after the Oscars.
