When it’s time for you, give Steph Curry and Draymond Green a call. You will come through when it is most needed.
That happened Thursday night in the Warriors’ thrilling 118-113 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 of their first-round NBA playoff series.
Jordan Poole joined the party and helped Curry and Green seal the win that took the Warriors three games to no. Golden State can end the win over Denver Sunday afternoon at the Ball Arena.
As the Warriors held onto a one-point lead with more than two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Andrew Wiggins got an offensive rebound that was passed to Curry, who found a wide-open Poole. The 22-year-old hit the bucket and did an incredible acrobatic layup.
Two minutes later, Curry put the Nuggets to sleep with a wild layup around reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
This looked like Steph Curry just did a “Night Night”. #nuggets‘ Quantity.

The Nuggets had one last chance, getting the ball to Jokic on the block. Green, who had five fouls, was isolated 1-on-1 and amazingly made the defensive play of the night, tucking the ball away from the Nuggets’ star.

Poole and Curry tied the win with a team-high 27 points while Green had six points, five rebounds, ten assists and two steals in the five-point win. Klay Thompson also hit multiple clutch shots for a total of 26 points.
The clutch performance of Curry, Green, Poole and Thompson gives the Warriors at least one road win in 24 straight playoff series, a new NBA record.

Another away win on Sunday in Denver and the Warriors can rest for their second-round matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies or the Minnesota Timberwolves.
