Margot Robbie enlisted the support of her mother, Sarie Kessler, at the premiere of her latest movie Babylon on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old Oscar nominee walked the red carpet with the 65-year-old physical therapist before heading to the star-studded screening at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Margot modeled a stunning hooded black low-cut dress while Sarie stunned in a plunging black dress with colorful beaded shoulders.

Adding to the drama of Margot’s appearance was a bizarre fur-trimmed train that hung down her left leg and brushed the floor.

Most of the Australian star’s silky blonde hair was hidden by the hood of her dress, although some pieces were left out to frame her face.

She slipped into semi-sheer tights and black pumps to complete the look.

Meanwhile, Sari’s stylish black dress featured a thigh-high slit that allowed her to show off her slender legs and silver platform heels.

Sarie raised Margot and her three siblings as a single mother in Queensland, Australia. Her father, Doug Robbie, is a cane tycoon who allegedly abandoned Margot and her three siblings when they were younger, according to New Idea in 2016.

Sarie has always supported Margot’s acting dreams, even before her stint on the soap opera Neighbors.

And in the September 2019 issue of Vogue Australia, Margot revealed that she spent her very first acting paycheck on her mother.

Margot explained to Sarie, who interviewed her for the magazine, that she used the money to pay off the debt she owed her.

‘I spent it to pay you back, Mum. Do not you remember? By the end of 12th grade, I was in so much debt,” she explained.

I, Tanya earned Margot her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress

Her second nomination was in 2020 for her role in Bombshell (2019). She was in the running for Best Supporting Actress.

Bablyon was written and directed by Damien Chazelle, who previously directed the musical drama Whiplash, the Oscar-winning musical La La Land and the acclaimed box-office flop First Man, starring Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong.

It hits theaters on December 23rd.
