In the video, later relaunched by the BBC’s Farsi channel, a man with a microphone, believed to be a local journalist, asks the boy what he wrote in his last will. “The place to bury me,” Rahnavard replied.
“You don’t like it when they read the Koran or pray?” the reporter insists. “I do not want, i want you to party and that happy music is played,” Majidreza repeated before he was executed.
The hanging of the young man was the first to be held in public since the protests broke out.
