Since BTS’ Jin signed up for his mandatory service on December 13, his fans haven’t stopped worrying about him.
Apparently, Jin fans have inundated an online military community with their concern for the BTS member’s well-being, much to the frustration of other soldiers’ families. The goal of fan support is the post “5th Division Key Unit Family Love Room” in a South Korean online community called The Camp.
Examples of fan posts about Jin were questions about his diet, such as: “Do you often give foods like potatoes, garlic and fish? Since Jin is allergic to these foods, I ask whether these foods are distributed often. »
In response, other members of the community complained and pointed it out “Jin is not the only person who joined the army”, “There is so much news about Jin that we miss important information.” or “It’s so hard to ask about my son or find any information.”
Camp community admins were even forced to create a separate post for Jin’s fans called “BTS’s Jin ARMY” in hopes of restricting Jin-related requests.
An admin also asked fans to tone down their posts. “If too many letters are uploaded, the computer server will crash and other soldiers may not be able to receive letters from family and friends. »
“Please use the (K-Pop) Weverse fan community instead of sending letters through the online community… I personally ask fans with the heart of parents who are also worried about new members.” added the anonymous admin.
Meanwhile, Jin began his 18-month stay at a military training camp in northern Yeongcheon County, where front-line troops are stationed guarding North Korea. According to HYBE, the group will reunite around 2025 when its seven members have finished their service.
