(ANSA) – LONDON, DECEMBER 19 – The UK government’s plan to deport asylum seekers and illegal migrants to Rwanda is legal: a UK court has upheld it.
Rwanda welcomed the court’s decision.
“We welcome this decision and are ready to offer asylum seekers and migrants the opportunity to start a new life in Rwanda,” said government spokeswoman Yolande Makolo, calling this a “positive” step towards solving the migration crisis. (HAND).
