The earth shook about 40 kilometers south of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Friday night. According to the Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), the magnitude was 5.7. The 11:07 p.m. earthquake could also be felt in Austria, according to a ZAMG broadcast on Saturday night. With this strength, a slow rocking on the higher floors is particularly noticeable. ZAMG announced that an earthquake of this magnitude could damage buildings in the affected region. However, the direct area of the epicenter in Bosnia and Herzegovina is sparsely populated.
