247 Still far from completing the process of reviewing working relationships with its talent, Globo recently failed to renew the contract of Maria Adelaide Amaral, one of the channel’s most successful writers. The information was provided by journalist Maurício Stycer in his column on the UOL portal.
Maria Adelaide has been with Globo since 1990, 32 years ago. She is the author of numerous notable miniseries, such as A Muralha, Os Maias, A Casa das Sete Mulheres, JK, Queridos Amigos, Dalva e Herivelto and Dercy de Verdade, among others. “It was clear I had no place there,” he told UOL.
He also wrote many memorable novels. He worked with Cassiano Gabus Mendes in “Meu Bem, Meu Mal” and “O Mapa da Mina” and with Silvio de Abreu in “Deus nos Acuda”. She was also the author of the remakes of “Anjo Mau” and “TiTiTi” by Cassiano. In the latter, he transformed the soap opera, adding elements from “Plumas e Sequins” and “Elas por Elas” by the same author.
