Transfer OL Keiondre Jones commits to FSU

Keiondre Jones committed to Florida condition on Tuesday. The massive offensive line transfers off maroon brought the Seminoles over UCF, west Virginia, Pittand other.

Jones looks to fight for a starting spot at either left guard or right guard as the Seminoles lose the two-year left guard start and All-ACC cast member Dillan Gibbonsand expect to lose All-ACC Third Team Right Guard D’Mitri Emmanuel (A waiver for a 7th year has been requested, although receiving one doesn’t sound very likely).

With Jones in the fold, FSU is looking to bring serious size to the trenches. The LaGrange, Georgia native was listed on Auburn’s official website as 6ft 4,340 pounds. He brings a wealth of experience to Tallahassee, with 2.5 seasons starting at Auburn. He is expected to be in contention for an offensive starting spot with FSU.

Jones’ best season was 2021 when he started every game of the season and was named a PFF College All-SEC 3rd Team. Also in 2020 he received decent grades.

The junior had a setback in 2022, earning a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 53.0 while becoming more of a rotation piece than a full-time starter as the season progressed.

Still, his stint at the highest echelon of college football and his overall SEC record make Jones an attractive hire for FSU. At his best he is a strong player who moves surprisingly well for his size. It will be the offensive line coach/coordinator’s job to get him to consistently hit his topside Alex Atkins.

Jones was one of the top 150 recruits nationally in the 2019 recruitment cycle and had a composite grade of .9385.

He joins a transfer class that includes two other inside offensive linemen – Colorado’s Casey Roddick and UTEPs Jeremiah Byers — as well as four-star tight ends Jaheim bell and Kyle Morlockas well as four-star defensive tackle Darrell Jackson.
