She knows a thing or two about taking risks when traveling abroad.

But Schapelle Corby urged her fans to play it safe this holiday season as she shared her Christmas travel tips on Instagram.

The 45-year-old, who has been behind bars for almost a decade for drug trafficking after Bali, urged her supporters to keep their bags locked if they plan to fly abroad.

“When you travel, make sure you keep your bags locked,” she said in a video filmed in her Gold Coast backyard.

“When you step out of your motel, which of course you will do, keep your distance at the airport. travel safely.

“Remember my name… Corby… and don’t drink too much.”

Many of Schapelle’s fans amused themselves with the video, which was clearly a joke about her own ill-fated trip to Indonesia in 2004.

“Always have your bags wrapped in plastic at the airport,” commented one fan.

“I will never go to Bali because of what you went through there… drives me insanely crazy,” added another.

“My board bags will have heavy duty Chubb padlocks…. They are heavier than the boards,” wrote a third.

Schapelle was found guilty of smuggling cannabis into Indonesia before being jailed in Bali’s Kerobokan prison for nine years.

After her arrest at Bali airport in October 2004, Schapelle said she knew nothing about the drugs found in her boogie board bag.

After a series of sentence reductions, she was paroled in 2014 and deported to Australia three years later, where she now works as a watchmaker.
