Love Island Australia fans were furious over Tuesday’s ‘fake’ finale after it was revealed three different endings had been pre-taped.
Earlier this week, lovebirds Austen Bugeja and Claudia Bonifazio were crowned winners, taking home the $50,000 prize.
But according to Yahoo, the pair filmed their final segment for the show weeks earlier, along with two other couples.

This ruffled the feathers of many of the show’s fans, who took to Twitter to complain that Austen and Claudia’s reaction to winning the series didn’t seem genuine.
“Dear Love Island and Channel Nine producers, for heaven’s sake give us a real season! None of this was recorded months in advance crap,” tweeted an angry fan.
Others said they would boycott future seasons if producers continued to pre-taped finales as reactions seemed “off,” saying it was to allow for audience voting.

It comes after the show’s producers dismissed claims that the dating series’ cast included professional actors.
It has recently been revealed that islanders Claudia Bonifazio and Tak Chipangura have been listed in the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) as starring in Australian film projects.
However, executive producer Alex Mavroidakis said there was nothing fake about the show.

He told TV Tonight the series, which aired on 9Now, attracts “extroverts” to audition for cast.
‘Anyone who has been in just one dog food commercial can create an IMDb account!’ he said.
Mavrodakis added that Love Island had no script, except for a few format points supplied by host Sophie Monk, and went on to slam the show’s critics.
“Feigning surprise that some reality TV contestants have had small parts in dramas, done extra work, or starred in a student film is like being shocked that a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” The contestant once won a pub quiz,” he said.
