Because of this win, the “Boys” can still hope to finish first in the division that includes the two teams.

The Texas club opened the machine in the fourth quarter, notably scoring 13 unanswered points in the last six minutes. Quarterback Dak Prescott faced wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for a 34-34 tie. It was the second time the two men had teamed for a touchdown in the game.

The Cowboys’ remaining points (11-4) in the final moments of the duel came from kicker Brett Maher, who had field goals for 48 and 26 yards.

With the Eagles (13-2), center Gardner Minshew was tasked with replacing Jalen Hurts behind center as Hurts suffered from a shoulder injury. The substitute hit a ground major and found DeVonta Smith for six carries. He finished his game with a 60% success rate with his arm and threw two interceptions.

Pennsylvania defenseman Josh Sweat scored a defensive touchdown after intercepting a throw from Dak Prescott early in the game.

And eight for the 49ers

At Levi’s Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers signed their eighth straight win by defeating the Washington Commanders 37-20.

The California team, already guaranteed to finish their regular season atop the National Association’s Western Division, has not suffered a loss since Oct. 23.

Quarterback Brock Purdy used the Commanders’ visit (7-7-1) to earn a third win since falling behind center due to Jimmy Garoppolo’s injury. The very last pick of the NFL’s final draft ended his confrontation of the day with 15 successful passes on 22 attempts for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns. He too was the victim of a theft.

Both times he found a teammate in the pay zone, it was George Kittle. The 49ers’ other majors (11-4) came from running backs Ray-Ray McCloud III and Christian McCaffrey. Kicker Robbie Gould didn’t miss out with three field goals.

On the Washington side, pivot Taylor Heinicke found Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in the pay zone. Carson Wentz was also sent into the fray, joining Curtis Samuel for six points.
