The floor cleaners in the Floor One range follow each other (very quickly) and look alike. Just a few months after the release of the Floor One S5, the S7 is already about to hit our dirty floors. As a reminder, the Floor One are floor scrubbers equipped with rotating rollers that rub the stains to remove them.

Strictly speaking, the rollers of the Floor One S7 are not only used to wipe the floor and, thanks to the SmoothPower drive system, make the device easier to handle; The device is propelled forward, of course (this is the case with the vast majority of floor cleaners that use this system of rotating cylinders), but also backwards. Another novelty: while only the right side of the head allowed cleaning of the baseboards on the S5, the roller on the S7 always allows this process on the right, but also on the left. Finally, Tineco highlights a water flow system: a scraper is responsible for removing dirt and debris from the rotating brush before returning to the floor impregnated with clean water.

Apart from these few innovations, the differences between the two models are not the greatest. Thus we gain in autonomy (which goes from 35 to 40 minutes if we rely on the technical sheet) and in size of the dirty water and clean water tanks (respectively 0.70 and 0.80 liters versus 0.72 and 0.85 liters ). The automatic power adjustment function (iLoop) is still present and relies on the same dirt sensor technology. The automatic roller cleaning system is also retained in the S7: Simply place the device on the base and activate the quick cleaning function. Note that when we tested the S5, we tried this method, which didn’t fully convince us.

Not much has changed on the control panel either. However, it should be noted that, in addition to the automatic mode alone, a suction function is included, but also the Max mode, which intensifies the rotation speed of the roller and the distribution of water for the encrusted tracks.

The Tineco floor scrubber is already available, but you may have to wait for the Christmas presents before you can get it. In fact, the advertised price still reaches €799!
