As every year, former US President Barack Obama revealed the songs from his playlist that made it to his favorites in 2022.
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s dembow “Tití me pregunta” and Spanish singer Rosalía’s reggaeton “Saoko” managed to become part of the music Obama wanted to hear this year.
“I’m always happy to share my music playlist for New Year’s Eve with you all and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites,” Obama wrote in the post.
An artist who is a repeat offender in the music taste of the former US President is Beyoncé, who has placed herself alongside these two Latin city exponents with her song “Break my soul” to go with her current album “Renaissance”.
In 2021, the first African-American President of the United States added Farruko with “Pepas” and Dominican-born rapper Cardi B to his list for that year for his collaborations with Lizzo and Lil Nax on “Rumors.” Cubans Yotuel, Gente de Zona and Descenmer Bueno and El Funky, and New York-based Dominican Yendry for “Ya” and bachata group Aventura along with Bad Bunny for “Volví”.
