Singer Zé Vaqueiro, 23, had to cancel two concerts to be held inside Pernambuco and Alagoas after the plane he was on broke down and had to return to Fortaleza. The information was confirmed by the artist himself on social networks.
According to a statement, the plane was en route from the capital, Ceará, to Serra Talhada (PE), near Floresta, where he had a show tonight.
“Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft suffered a systemic failure that affected the stability of the aircraft. Fortunately, the pilot managed to safely return the plane to the runway at Fortaleza airport and no one was injured,” the statement said.
Besides the show in Floresta, Zé Vaqueiro also had to cancel another show that was supposed to take place in São Luís do Quitunde (AL).
The statement said the singer was “immeasurably shaken” by the incident and apologized to his fans. “New dates for the two cities will be announced soon,” the note concludes.

After the incident, Zé Vaqueiro posted a photo thanking his family and fans for their prayers.
“Several people have already told me that they are praying for my life and that of the band in this hectic pace of our work,” he wrote. “Especially these three women in my life. Thank you to everyone who is praying for us. I thank God every day for every deliverance.”
