In 2018, at the direction of President Nicolás Maduro, the government established an air and land bridge for the voluntary return of all migrants and their families who do not have their own means to return, and once in the country they will be included in all the social programs promoted by the government Executive.
The Plan Vuelta a la Patria offered more than 30,000 Venezuelans from 25 countries the opportunity for a dignified restart, free from xenophobia, labor exploitation and discrimination in their country, according to the People’s Power Ministry of Foreign Relations.
For its part, Conviasa increased its fleet with new aircraft to 25, increased its worldwide connections to 15 and transported more than 400,000 travelers between national and international destinations.
