The influencer said she didn’t see the awards ceremony and that when she found out about the jokes, she had to hide in her room so as not to “spoil her own mother’s Christmas.”

The Best of the Year award, organized by TV Globo and shown on Domingão com Huck, stirred the internet not only for the award winners but also for someone who wasn’t even invited to the party.
Influencer Géssica Kayane, known as Gkay, was repeatedly mentioned by comedians during the awards ceremony Fabio Porchat and Paulo Vierawho were responsible for the jokes during the show, and also for Tata Werneckwhich entered competitions and won the Paulo Gustavo Trophy, aimed at comedians.
In one of the moments, Porchat and Vieira protested for not having received the humor prize, in a clear reference to the coup movements in front of the barracks. Tatá provoked by pointing out a controversy surrounding the program that he presents on the channel “Multishow”, where the influencer was a guest. The comedian said that she was previously afraid of Gkay and is now afraid of both.
Then Vieira said he was the only one who guaranteed the wellknown “Globo quality standard”. “We have to do something on a high, elegant level, and then I saw Globo broadcasting ‘Farofa da Gkay’. So I guess I’m the last one to care about Globo’s quality standards,” the comedian joked.
At the end of the ceremony, Fábio Porchat was responsible for honoring Jô Soares, who died in August of this year. During the tribute, the comedian implied that the interviewer died so as not to have to receive the influencer on his show.
“I look at Jô and I keep thinking, ‘What would he do with a gkay in front of him?’ Right Tatá? That’s why he preferred to leave us at times,” he said.
“I must be a giant piece of trash”
The influencer countered the jokes on her Twitter. “Your saying a person would rather leave than interview me really has no idea how much that hurts me in a thousand ways. Firstly because I know what it’s like to lose someone, secondly because being interviewed by Jô was one of my dreams and thirdly because I must be a huge piece of junk,” Gkay began.
The influencer said she didn’t see the awards show and that when she found out about the jokes, she had to hide in her room to “not ruin Christmas” for her own mum.
“I’m really tired, you know, really tired, I’m actually exhausted because I don’t know what I’ve done that people hate me so much,” the influencer aired.
She even posted a series of comments from people who agreed with Porchat’s joke and posted a video of Paulo Vieira’s joke with a sour caption.
“I really must be so important that I’m on the agenda in one place so many times that I wasn’t even called out,” he concluded.
